iHanuman Yoga Features with Erich Schiffmann
January 31, 2011
This past September 2010, Erich Schiffmann recorded his annual workshop in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Actually, Matt Cline, was responsible for the camera work and editing. The much-anticipated video is now available and is only available for download through iHanuman.com. As one of our founder's teachers, Erich contributed one of the first videos to our store back in 2007. Since then, he continues to record his inspiring classes and he offers many of them for free through his website movingintostillness.com.
For anyone who has not experienced Erich's teaching, he is a philosopher who reflects on how to live in this modern world. He has been teaching yoga for 40 years. In fact, teaching yoga has been the only real job he has ever had. This recently released video includes several of Erich's discourses on yoga, meditation sessions and practice sessions. If you are looking for a comprehensive way to spend about 10 hours with one of the world's top yoga teachers, this is it!
For this month's feature, we offer a sneak peak into the workshop with a short meditation session from the weekend. In honor of the month of love, this meditation focuses on tuning in to your heart. For those of you who may be timid about meditation, Erich offers a gentle way to start and for those of you more experienced meditators, it is always a pleasure to join in a community with Erich's guidance.
Enjoy this guided meditation and consider downloading the entire workshop. We offer this session with love, honor and deep respect for the practice of yoga and for the incredible teachers who make it their life's work to share this practice with the world.
