Diane Malaspina was asked to sub for her teacher, Angela Phillips’ , Bliss class in 2004 and her path as a teacher blossomed from there, working one-on-one under Angela’s tutelage. In 2007, Diane completed Shiva Rea’s 200 hour Prana Vinyasa Flow program, a dynamic, organic approach based on Krishnamacharya’s lineage, integrating ayurveda, tantra, and energetic alignment to enhance the flow of prana.
Diane is currently an assistant professor of Psychology and a PhD in Educational Psychology and brings this experience into her yoga classes creating a safe and structured environment. Diane was asked again by Angela to substitute this class which iHanuman recorded and we received a gem. This class is a multilevel gentle class suitable for any yoga practitioner and Diane offers modifications to build upon.
This class was recorded at Angela Phillip’s Yoga Studio on First Colonial Road in Virginia Beach. Virginia Beach is also home to Langley Airforce Base so we are reminded of our fellow Americans in the military every few minutes with the sound of jet noise overhead. Diane however, holds the space so you do not become too distracted with the outside sounds.
